After a successful opening in New York City, Bloodline opened in the city of angels on May 16th to packed houses at the Sunset Laemmle Cinema, on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, and at the Culver City Plaza Cinema.
As in New York City, the local ABC News channel came to the opening night screening, and gave the film a great review this weekend, as did Gary Goldstein of the Los Angeles Times : "If the Catholic Church fumed over the 'The Da Vinci Code' wait until it gets a load of 'Bloodline', an ambitious, sharply intriguing documentary..."

The film also got a FOUR STAR review from Mathew Nestel at Boxoffice.com: "UNPARALLELED REVELATIONS...a GEM that unpretentiously swings for the fences and lands in the alleyways the next town over...pulling the curtain wide-open forcing some to question their faith and dosing a bad case of insomnia upon the Pope."

Bruce, Rene and Dr Gabriel Barkay from Hebrew University in Jerusalem, gave a talk at the Bodhi Tree Bookstore in Beverly Hills on Saturday, where they discussed the film, its discoveries and the relics to a packed audience.
Bloodline continues to do well in New York City as the highest grossing film at the Village East Cinema.
Producer Rene Barnett said: “The reaction from the public has been staggering, we always hoped for this response, but this is even better than our wildest dreams. Bloodline has one of the highest per-screen grosses in the USA right now, which is phenomenal for such a small marketing budget. We’re all thrilled!”

I am so glad to see the film doing so well. The reviews sound great.
I can't wait for it to reach Australia. I have been pushing for it here by contacting the art house cinema chains like Palace Cinemas and Cinema Nova and asking them to screen it.
Hopefully a groundswell will begin to rise as word of mouth spreads. Here's to great things for your little movie full of big revelations!
This is so ridiculous. As a Bible scholar I have a hard time proving that Jesus exsisted, let alone these details. Exploitation of the easily convinced!
